Our Heroes, Our Soldiers,
shared with me by a friend.

******************
America’s Courageous

Throughout the decades of America’s history, those brave young men and women who have served valiantly in America’s armed forces have proven time and time again to be the most courageous military of all time.  The kind of valor that these amazing young people have demonstrated in battlefields all across the globe is truly inspiring.

One of the reasons that America is the great country it is comes from the fact that she also has one of the most powerful and dependable armies on the planet.  Those armies, which includes the US Army, the U.S. Marine Corps, the Navy, the Air Force, the Coast Guard and the National Guard, continue to show a spirit of service and a willingness to go into battles that are tremendously difficult and dangerous in the name of honor and to serve the country they love.

In World War II, our brave military was willing to attack in the face of overwhelming odds and a powerful enemy knowing that the stakes were high.  And yet they went on the offense in the amazing battles such as D-Day because they knew that if they were going to stop such enemies as Nazi Germany, it was up to them to go in there, gun in hand and put a stop to a great evil.  Tens of thousands of America’s finest lost their lives to put tyranny to an end.  And we are all eternally grateful for the sacrifice they made to assure that the country they love will continue to live in freedom and that tyranny will never prevail.

Even in the difficult military situations such as Korea and Vietnam, America saw her youth serve with valor and courage against a confusing and ruthless enemy.  And even as they saw those wars become unpopular and as they faced distain when they returned from battle, often with injuries that would limit their lives forever, those soldiers gave all they had to stop an enemy determined to impose tyranny on their neighbors by force.

Even today as our military fights a long and difficult battle on foreign shores, our courageous soldiers show the commitment to their values as Americans and the same determined obedience to their good commanders to stop a sly and deadly enemy determined to stop freedom before it can get a chance to grow.  And however today’s wars turn out, whether they achieve their goals or not, one thing is for sure.  The American soldier will be there, doing whatever is needed to protect America and serve her interests.  And when America calls, our courageous soldiers will be there to respond, as they always have in the past and they always will in the future.

If you ever get a chance to visit Washington D.C. and tour the Arlington cemetery, you will be deeply inspired as you walk those grave sites and reflect on the ultimate sacrifice our courageous soldiers were willing to give so that you and I could live in safety and freedom.  To sit in quiet reverence as the honor guard gives respect at the tomb of the unknown solider gives one much to reflect upon about the heart of the humble soldier willing to give it all, with no reward except to know they are serving the country they love.  The unknown soldier never became a hero to his family and loved ones and this is a silent tribute to the military men and women who do not serve for metals or thank yous or fame.  They serve out of honor and the values that reside in them because they are Americans.

While a recent trip out of the country I realized how this great The United States of America is to live in, We  needs to remember the sacrifice our soldier, police and fireman and women give up every day for you and I to feel safe. As I cleared customs their was a women who was clearly not happy about taken her shoes off for the third time.

Please remember when you travel to give yourself more time and relax it is for your safety that every one is checked out and I for one would not feel safe knowing it was an easy task.

Take the Show on the Road
By:  Suzanne Evans, Helping Professional Expert

What is the topic that dominates the media these days? What is it that we’re reading on websites, in newspapers, seeing on TV and hearing on the radio?

Even if you only read the front pages or skim the headlines, you know it’s all about the economy. Everyone’s talking about Wall Street and financial turmoil.

Here’s what I know to be true – and this is especially relevant to the past year or so – the investments that I have made in myself never got lost in the stock market crash. No recession can ever devalue them.

What I am hanging onto today are the investments I made in my personal growth and in my business, not the investments that I put in Bank of America or my 401k. The investments I made in my training as a coach, as a marketer, and as a business owner continue to pay off regardless of what’s happening in the financial world.

In times like these, it’s easy to get uncomfortable about spending money on training programs, a team, or marketing for your business – and it may be true that you need to be more careful about how you spend your money. But, it’s important that you don’t hold off on the important decisions you need to make now as a business owner.

Make quick and confident decisions. Don’t get stuck in limbo. Whether you’re unsure about a decision to invest in a training opportunity, an event or directly in your business, don’t be indecisive. Successful entrepreneurs make quick decisions.

One of the most effective approaches to growing your business – even in challenging economic times is by doing what I call “taking the show on the road.”

“Taking the show on the road” means that you actively invest in building an audience – an audience to serve and that will buy from you in return.

My background is in Broadway theatre. We put on eight shows a week. It takes continuity to build an audience. Once you have your niche, your story, have begun to invest in a team and to build your business, you must aggressively seek out an audience.

The more you share your message, the faster you accelerate in building the business.

Constantly ask yourself these questions:

  • Where can I speak?
  • How can I get my writing published?
  • Who can I talk to?
  • Where can I volunteer?
  • On what sites can I blog?
  • What gatherings can I go to?
  • Who can I call or email?
  • How else can I share my message?

No entrepreneurial vision has ever come to fruition by being kept a secret. You must to take the show on the road.

When I first started my business, I promoted myself from a booth between the tomatoes and the bananas in a Whole Foods. I didn’t know where to go, but I just started talking to people. It might feel silly at times, but you need to get out there, tell your story, and begin building an audience early one.

You will never regret investing in yourself and your business. One of the best ways to do this is to take your “show on the road” and build an audience. Get out there and speak. Go to events and gatherings. Get your writing published.

The specific tactics you use to get your message out there and develop your audience will be unique to your business, but it is guaranteed to pay off as long as you commit and recognize that you are making a vital investment in yourself, your business and bringing a valuable gift into the world.

10 Ways to Make WordPress More Useful

The WordPress blogging platform is one of the most popular software choices for adding this powerful content tool. Its wide adoption is aided greatly by the fact that its open source architecture means that outside developers can create add-ons to extend the basic functionality.

WordPress, developed as blog software, is now, through various plugins, capable of supporting full web sites, membership site and premium content management and multi-author content sites with ease. Below is a list of 10 plugins that can make any WordPress blog more useful for both the author and the readers.

1) Wishlist Member – This paid plugin allows you to turn a WordPress blog into a paid membership or course site. Wishlist integrates with a number of shopping carts, payment processors and email marketing tools and offers many ways to protect and deliver blog and page content based on membership levels.

2) Disqus – Disqus is a comment plugin that adds a great deal of functionality to the WordPress comment function, including the ability to see the history of blog comments from anyone leaving comments, nested comments, avatars and additional social media contact details, such as twitter mentions of your blog post.

3) Add to Any – This plugin makes it very easy for anyone to subscribe to a blog via their chosen RSS reader, such as Google Reader or Bloglines, or via email.

4) podpress – podpress was build to make it easy to add a podcast and audio player to a WordPress blog. The plugin also supports video podcasting features. Download stats, support for many file formats and the ability to manage and view feeds to services such as iTunes makes this a great plugin for anyone posting audio or video content to their blog.

5) Custom Class Selector – This plugin is a little on the techie side, but allows you to create unlimited numbers of CSS classes and then insert them on the fly to customize content styles in your blog posts. This can be very helpful if you want to create icons or styling for certain types of content, but don’t want to open up and change the theme stylesheet.

Cheap Weddng Invitation That Look Like A Million Bucks

Author: Rose Watson

You want a great wedding invitation, but you don’t want to have to sell your belongings on eBay to afford it. Unfortunately, cheap wedding invitations can look like you didn’t spend a dime. This guide will help you learn how you can have cheap invitations that look far more expensive than they were. Here’s how to use printable invites to get an awesome look for little money:

1. Paper – Stationery for cheap wedding invitations is easy to get. Local craft shops offer many different options, usually in the scrapbooking section. If you can’t find what you are after locally, check out craft and scapbooking stores online. Online invitation specialists often offer paper at prices that won’t leave you dizzy. Printable wedding invites can be done on craft paper of any weight, style, or texture to suit your wedding theme.

2. Design – Cheap wedding invitations can be as simple as printing the who, what, when, and where on a piece of cardstock. Another way to create checkbook-friendly printable invitations is to add a photo or image to your invite. Even basic computer software will allow you to easily incorporate a special image. If you’re not sure how to do it, search for tips and tutorials online. Even if you’re not computer-savvy, with a little effort you can easily create invites that look like they were professionally designed.

3. Layer – Another way to create wedding invites that only look expensive is by adding layers to your printable invitations. Start by printing the text on a lightweight paper. Use craft glue to attach the printed paper onto a slightly larger and heavier piece of paper in a coordinating color. The result is a framed and layered look that looks more costly than it is.

4. Embellish – It’s easy to add bling to your printable wedding invitations with charms and gems. Whether it’s a seashell charm for your beach ceremony or red and green holly for your Christmas wedding, it’s easy to find the ideal embellishment. These items are easy to attach with craft glue, meaning that even the most craft-shy bride can create unique printable invites. You could shop at a local or online craft store, but you can also find dizzying selections and great deals using an online invitation specialist.

Are there any disadvantages to creating your own printable wedding invitations? Yes. There’s no question that cheap wedding invitations are easy on your pocketbook. They can be, however, time-consuming–especially if you’re designing a particularly elaborate invite. If possible, gather friends, family, or perhaps bridesmaids to form an assembly line that’ll seriously reduce crafting and assembly time.

Remember also to set a budget before you start designing or shopping for supplies. It’s easy to get carried away while you’re designing an elaborate homemade invite or while roaming aisles full of adorable charms and gems. Keep your cheap wedding invites cheap by setting–and sticking–to a money plan.

With a little planning, it’s easier than ever to make cheap invitations look like a million bucks.

By Donna Biasi
Personal Safety and Self Defense Expert
Owner, Guard Yourself Now

Every year we work hard to get everything done their is never enough time we al want one more day. The holiday rush is everything it was cracked up to be no drought.

Every Year over $100 million dollars in property damage cause by fire.  Precautionary measures need to be taken. It will be worth the extra time to check this.

Her are some helpful tips to keep your home and Family Safe.

Live Christmas Trees:A live tree can engulfed in flames in less then 5 seconds.

* They need water not when you think of it every day!
* The needles on your tree should be able to bend not break when touched.
* Never put your tree close to a fireplace or any other heat, it takes a second to catch fire, you will never know until it’s too late.
* Don’t put your live tree up to early.
* Take it down right after New Years to avoid drying out.

Pet Safety:

* The paws of your furry little guy are sure to take its toll with rock salt. They do make a pet friendly rock salt. Try pet smart at least for the walkway to your home.
* They also like to eat the salt so keep the path clear
* Pets love to chew on anything hanging make sure your lights and all this wires are safely out of the way. If you have to tape them to the carpet or wall to prevent any problems.

Candles:

* Make your first rule only light 2 candles at a time.
* Use tea candles just in case you forget they will go out in an hour or two.

If you are one of the rare people that love tinsel (I love the Look) remember to buy the “Lead-Free” kind.

Common Sense is a key factor in the safety of your family most information you already know.

Memories are the best part of the Holidays. Take some time to enjoy the moment while your in it. You never get to relive the moment
